Help Protect the Lake Superior Coast
Lake Superior is the largest freshwater lake in the world and, of all the Great Lakes, it is the least disturbed by human activities. But this freshwater ecosystem faces growing threats like invasive species, shoreline development and incompatible industrial development.
Current Priority: Nor’Westers Project
NCC is working to protect and care for additional land in this area, including 942 hectares (2,311 acres) near Thunder Bay as part of the Nor'Westers project. Help protect the last Great Lake wilderness shoreline and conserve a network of islands, bays, wetlands, forests and streams across the Lake Superior basin.
