With its freshwater and saltwater habitats, the river boasts many complex ecosystems and a rich diversity of flora and fauna. However, the St. Lawrence River is facing a number of threats that are weakening its ecosystems and the ecological services they provide. Did you know that the St. Lawrence is the main source of drinking water for over 45 per cent of Quebec’s population?
