Protect important coastal habitat
Kiwto'qitek (Point Pleasant), in the southeastern corner of Prince Edward Island, is blanketed with a large, mature and intact Wabanaki (Acadian) forest. The coastline, forest and bog here provide ideal habitat for many of PEI’s native wildlife species. The coastal forest also serves as a buffer against ocean winds and helps keep the shoreline intact and adaptable to a changing climate. Together, we can ensure that Kiwto'qitek (Point Pleasant) remains healthy and intact for wildlife and people.
