Help Protect the Lake Superior Coast

Lake Superior is the largest freshwater lake in the world and, of all the Great Lakes, it is the least disturbed by human activities. But this freshwater ecosystem faces growing threats like invasive species, shoreline development and incompatible industrial development.

Current Priority: Batchewana Island

NCC has an opportunity to protect 2,076 hectares (5,130 acres) of intact forest, wetland and undeveloped shoreline on Batchewana Island in Lake Superior.
