Walk with water

Did you know that spending time near water can benefit your mental and physical health?

How you can help

Spend more time near water each week.

1. Visit a local wetland near you and learn about its importance in water storage and filtration.

2. Take a hike along a riverside trail and learn about where the river starts and ends.

3. Use iNaturalist to document and learn about the plants and animals you see at your local wetlands, rivers and lakes.

4. Inspire others to spend time near water by sharing your experience on social media using #MySmallAct.

Small acts on a big scale

Across Canada, NCC staff inventory the plants and animals on our properties and remove any invasive species, along with the help of our Conservation Volunteers. By doing so, we're improving habitats for native plants and animals.
